There are people and organizations among us who selflessly give their time and experience in exceptional ways. They are the “Quiet Heroes” of our Community. Without them, important things would not get done … like raising funds for an ill neighbor, like building a safe park for our kids, like sponsoring culture community events, like distributing food for housebound seniors and the hungry, like giving Christmas presents to needy children, like comforting hospital patients, like coaches for youth sports, like helping to put out forest fires … the list of needs met and events created to enrich our county goes on and on.
These outstanding volunteers – the “Quiet Heroes” – will be honored once again at The 13th Annual Tuolumne County Volunteer Awards Ceremony April 4, 2014 from 12 to 1:30pm at the Sonora Elks Lodge. This year’s event called “Hats Off to Our Volunteers” will honor the heart, work and love of those who generously given to a cause in our Community. This is a heart-warming opportunity that will truly inspire you.
